“You WILL get dirty.” That’s the friendly warning from Rik Carr, owner of The Home of Low & Slow. It’s an 80-seater barbecue joint and bar that promises a classic American barbecue menu of “big drippy wings”, pulled pork sliders and brisket, as well as a rotating selection of SA craft beers on tap.

Unusually, The Home of Low & Slow will also serve as a butcher shop – supplying hard-to-find high-quality cuts to both competition barbecue teams and the general public.

It is, Rik says, “a place to talk barbecue”.
